Tim's Ancient Links
Most, but not all, of these are from my very first web page from 1996.
I found them, archived away in a .zip file. Enjoy.
Memphis
- "Media
Priests of the Big Lie". Pere Ubu's David Thomas finds himself in
Memphis during Death Week.
- Memphis in May. The
annual get together featuring music and barbecue.
- Motss.Con.99. I helped host
a get together of participants from Usenet's soc.motss newsgroup in
Memphis during the
fall of 1999. The web page has some nice Memphis photos in it. These photos from the
.con itself were taken by Ken Rudolph.
- The National Civil
Rights Museum. The major action of the civil-rights movement of
the late 1950s and the 1960 took place between Little Rock, Arkansas,
and Montgomery, Alabama. Memphis is right on that axis. The Civil
Rights Museum is housed in the Lorraine Motel, when Dr. Martin Luther
King was staying when he was assassinated.
